The exhibition

Dominic Welch and Lucy Unwin present a compelling exhibition of stone and bronze sculptures set within the dramatic setting of a beautiful timber barn, where art and landscape meet in quiet harmony. Showcasing a collection of indoor and outdoor works, the exhibition highlights the distinctive vision of these leading British sculptors, whose practice draws deeply from natural organics structures.

From tactile carvings to expressive bronze pieces, each sculpture reflects a careful dialog between material, form and the natural environment.

All sculptures are available for purchase, offering collectors the opportunity to bring these striking, nature inspired sculptures into both interior and garden spaces.

Two abstract sculptures, one tall made of bronze on a wooden pedestal, and one spiral-shaped stone on a wooden base, inside a rustic room with wooden walls.

Working in stone and bronze, Lucy creates sculptures that explore the relationship between human presence and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from botanical forms, marine life, shells, and fossils, the sculptures reflect the rhythms and structures found in nature. Through carving and casting, solid materials are shaped into forms that evoke growth, erosion, and transformation. The work highlights the deep connections between people, landscape, and the environment, inviting viewers to reflect on nature’s enduring influence.

The serene elegance of Welch’s work has established him as one of the leading sculptors of his generation. Just as remarkable is the breadth of work he has produced since first taking up the chisel. Though stone carving is an inherently slow and demanding process, for Welch the long hours in the studio have always been a journey of discovery—a deeply absorbing and fulfilling way of life. From this extended, meditative practice emerge the dreamlike forms that now inhabit public and private spaces around the world.
